New York Diversity & Inclusion CLE Requirement

Effective July 1, 2018, all attorneys admitted to practice in New York must complete 1 credit hour of Diversity, Inclusion & Elimination of Bias CLE per biennial period as part of their 24-hour total biennial CLE requirement (per 22 NYCRR 1500.22(a)(6)). This 1-hour requirement counts toward your total 24 hours, not in addition to it.

What is NY's Diversity CLE Requirement?

1 Hour Required

Every New York attorney must complete 1 hour of Diversity, Inclusion & Elimination of Bias CLE per biennial compliance period. This hour is part of your 24-hour total.

Effective Date

The requirement became effective July 1, 2018 per 22 NYCRR 1500.22(a)(6) and applies to all attorneys' biennial compliance periods going forward.
